Tokusen Umeshu Uguisutomari 720ml

This is a plum wine with luxurious and rich taste.  Excellent Japanese unripe plums are preserved in home brewed sake-lee shochu and left to age for few dozens of months to make its unique taste.  Hope you enjoy this luxurious and rich taste which is fused with the thickness of the shochu and the acidity of the plums. 

About the characteristic of this Ume-shu (Plum Wine):

As to umeshu, the grandfather on the sake brewer’s mother’s side was a founder of the Ohita prefecture’s “ One Village One Product “ movement(OVOP).  The late Harumi Yahata, who served as a town mayor in Oyama, Ohita prefecture, and a union leader of JA(Japan Agricultural co-operation), brewed Umeshu of the highest quality named “ Tokusen Umeshu Uguisutomari “. 

This was excellent umeshu which his grandfather had long dreamed of.  His grandson chose to reproduce a recipe for umeshu which his grandfather had written down,  The umeshu is made from plums best from Ohyama and homebrewed sake-lee shochu, after being left to age for two years.
