About Oga Brewery:
Regional rice gathered at the Oga family who was village headman in the Edo period.
And, the premises in Oga house was a blessed well with well-flowing water of Mt. Houmanzan.

The family was also blessed with transportation conditions using a river at the back.
Sake brewing began under these favorable conditions.
When we uncover a long history of Sake brewing, we can see a deep relationship with the region.

In the social trend of mass production of sake by machine making, Oga's sake, "TamadeIzumi" is quality-oriented sake dedicated to handmade.
The highest grade Yamada Nishiki from Itoshima in Fukuoka prefecture, Yumeikkon and so on are used for raw material rice.
We steam rice in old-fashioned and wooden barrel and, rice malt production is also constructed in the traditional way.
We also use small tank to ferment alcohol at low temperature slowly.
We go great lengths to take these process for good sake making seriously.
